Ambient and Directional Sound Recording Production

Use portable audio filed recorders to record 6 location ambient sounds and 6 focused directional sounds in a range of environments. Recorded sounds must feature altered file names that are specific to the location they were recorded.

You must also produce photographic evidence that clearly shows each person in your group using the portable sound recorders on location to capture ambient and directional sounds. These pictures can be taken using your mobile phone.

Recorded sounds must firstly be uploaded to your SoundCloud account profile page and embedded into a blog post with accompanying photographic evidence using the title Ambient & Directional Sound Recording Production.

Pitch and Time-Stretch
This is the evidence for my pitch and time stretch piece. It is too large to fit the entire song on, so I print screened and pasted a segment. As you can see, each audio piece in the time line has various lengths, even though they are all the same audio file. This is evidence that I have modified the pitch and stretched the times for each track. I had manipulated 12 tracks in total. I had experimented with various time scales and pitches in each, trying to make each track have different pitches and times.

Multi-track

This is the evidence of my multi track. As you can see, I have used multiple tracks to create this piece. The piece is based on a short story where two paranormal investigators are attacked by a monster, but are able to shoot the monster before it tries to kill them. I have also edited the volume on some tracks to add depth and realism to the piece.
